Who doesn't have to juggle these days? What am I juggling?
1. Work - I work Monday thru Friday from 8am to 430pm, leaving home at 630am and getting home about 530pm, when I get off work on time.
2. Alexis - my darling almost 5 year old daughter. The schedule is throwing her off because Mom is gone all day and past preschool. Add to that having to do an emergency daycare change shortly after starting back at work, it makes life a little interesting.
3. Wedding - in less than 3 months (insert scream of panic here) I am getting married. That means we have to do invitations, find dresses for the bridesmaid and maid of honor, figure out flowers...the list keeps going
4. Housework - really this should not need any explanation
5. Moving - yes moving. Because I didn't have enough on my plate, lets add in packing. Jaime and I are looking at a duplex on Saturday so it could very well be that in 2 weeks we will be moving into our home (that sounds sooooo good). And that will mean 2 weeks of crazy busy packing and cleaning and making lists of things we need...
6. Crochet - I decided now would be a good time to start a blanket that I need to have done by may. I wanted to have one for Alexis for her birthday and so I have to keep moving on that too...
Yup I'm busy but I need to add a few things. These are more goals than things that just are.
1. I want to read for 15-20 minutes per day from the bible
2. I want to blog at least every other day
3. I want to remember my lunch and a snack every day.
So thats whats going on in my life, what about yours my beautiful people.

A Return
Ok so I took a little hiatus, in case you didn't notice. Life got crazy but I'm back now. So where to start? We had a crazy snow storm last week. Not a lot of snow but some massive drifts. One on the gravel road was about 8 feet tall. And the ones at home were pretty decent too. Pictures will follow soon, I promise.
I am working now. I love feeling like I'm helping people. I finish orientation this week (I started 3 weeks ago, have been in the clinich since the 2nd day, but I have 2 more days of orientation. Whatever).
Tomorrow is Valentine's day. In honor of it, I am dedicating a post to my special sweetheart today, my fiance and hubby-to-be Jaime.
Your Name
I wrote your name in the sky,
but the wind blew it away.
I wrote your name in the sand,
but the waves washed it away.
I wrote your name in my heart,
and forever it will stay.
- Jessica Blade -
I also made my menu plan for this week.
Monday - sloppy joes, french fries, green beans
Tuesday - spaghetti, salad, garlic bread
Wednesday - leftovers
Thursday - tacoes, tator tots
Friday - (Tentative plan, depending on weather) hamburgers and hot dogs off the grill, baked beans, french fries
There hasn't been a lot of excitement lately but life is very very good. ☺

Snow Day
In case you are in part of the portion of the U.S. that wasn't hit with a blizzard and are blissfully unaware of the fact that any of us were, we were. It started here with sleet on Monday, turned into snow, and then later on yesterday the wind started blowing. The snow stopped sometime last night. We ended up with somewhere between 4 and 7 inches with drifts coming in anywhere from nonexistant up to 6 foot tall. It was interesting to say the least.
At this point, our gravel roads are drifted shut, again. We have more work to do on shoveling out the cars, but the temperature is suppose to be better tomorrow. I'll dress my munchkin up and let her play in the snow for a while and I'll keep on a shoveling.
I am still waiting to restart at my job. It's frustrating being kept waiting but what can I do about it. And so I'll spend the time cleaning, crocheting, and cooking. The 3 C's of my life. LOL
I also want to dig and search some for deals for the wedding.
Oh well. Coming soon to a blog near you -- shopping lists...
You'll understand when they come out...until then I think I'll just keep you in suspense.

The List
I can't ever seem to get anything done without making a list. Without a list I feel lost. I think of things to do and then I forget most of them by the time I get done with the first thing and then I sit down, just until I remember more, and then I lose all motivation. And so, I have made a list for today...
1. Dishes - included in this fun filled activity is actually doing the dishes, cleaning off the counters and table, clearing out the refrigerator and taking out the garbage.
2. Laundry - this is exactly what I said. The closets are still clean so I don't need to sort them. Yay!
3. Toys - My daughter has destroyed the living room yet again. I should have named her after a natural disaster.
4. Bedroom - trying to shove all the stuff for 2 people into a small room is difficult. However I will make yet another attempt to make it usable for both of us.
The bedroom really needs broken down into more lists....
a. laundry - gather, wash, dry, fold, put away
b. closet - put away all items on the floor
c. desk - declutter the clutter
And I'm excited about this?

A Snow Storm
Current outlook (professionally gotten by looking out the window) light snow and light wind.
What have we heard
4-6 inches...
and...
6-8 inches...
and...
7-10 inches...
and...
10-12 inches.
Wind...
and...
no wind...
Do you get the idea. No one has any idea what is going to happen. We are going to get snow, possibly a decent amount, there may or may not be wind, temperatures are going to drop.
The roads suck. They are 100 percent covered in snow...and ice...I'm glad to be home and off the roads.
The morons are out in droves. I know, I know this is common any time there is a winter storm. A semi about ran me off the interstate because they can't see the red van. Watched a car decide to cut across traffic, lose control and spin into the ditch.
I'll be happy when my sister gets home. I'll be even happier if school and work is canceled tomorro, or they super clean the roads. Either one is good for me.

Happy Birthday Bubba
Today was my little brother's birthday. He turned 15. Wow....
He was born when I was 10 years old. I was in the little mommy phase and I loved playing with him. We lived in Missouri at the time (and we do have to show him the proof before he'll believe anything).
The summer he was 1 1\2 I watched him while he played outside. I would generally be reading while he played.
When I was 14 I was going through the phase of life sucks. I was alone on Valentine's day and all my girl friends were dating people. They had gotten cookies (our drill team sells cookies on valentines day) and I hadn't gotten any. I came home, curled up on the couch and turned on a sappy love movie (stupid, right?). He came up to me, asked me what was wrong in his cute 5 year old way, and I told him that I was sad, he asked why, I said because I didn't have a boyfriend (oh how I yearn for the simplicity of those days). He curled up on the couch with me and said Don't be sad, I'll be your boyfriend. He was always such a sweetheart.
Now he is 15. I can't lie, I'm glad he's growing up. But at the same time I miss those times. He's moody sometimes, I swear boys pms just like girls. I hate knowing he has a girlfriend even while I'm happy for him. I am terrified of him learning to drive. But he is growing up to be a great guy. And I am so proud of him.
I love you bubba boy.

Busy Monday (and a recipe)
I started work today. It was fun but I am definitely tired. I got very use to sleeping until 7 and then being lazy until 9. That doesn't work anymore. My alarm goes off at 515 and I have to be out the door by 630. I start work at 8. And so because I am tired, cleaning is taking more effort than it should.
And because of this, I am going to assign myself chores for the rest of the week, allowing myself to slack off on some things while still, hopefully, keeping the house from falling apart.
Tonight I didn't do a whole lot. I found a home for all my new benefit information. I gathered the documents and information that I need for work tomorrow. I did the dishes and cleaned up the kitchen. I picked up the living room, with the help of Alexis.
Tuesday - Dining room - this will include folding any baskets of clothes, sweeping, decluttering the table.
Wednesday - Living room - this will include putting away the toys that Alexis pushes
to the side of the floor instead of picking up, vacuuming, sweeping.
Thursday - Kitchen/bathroom - clean the clutter from the counters, transfer leftovers to the freezer if necessary, gather dirty clothes
Friday - clean sweep - just do a runthrough of the entire downstairs to get everything for...
Saturday - sweep all rooms, vacuum, clean fridge, gather laundry from bedrooms, grocery shop
That is my week in a nutshell. Should be busy, but kind of fun.
Oh and just a side note...I found a super easy, super yummy way to make a quick supper.
Meatball Open Faced Sandwiches
Servings 2
4 pieces of bread (any type will work. I used sandwich bread because that's what I had)
16 meatballs
Spaghetti sauce
Garlic salt, to taste
Parmesan cheese, for sprinkling
Mozzarella cheese, for sprinkling
Toast 2 pieces of bread per family member. (I did not butter my toast)
Cook meatballs (do you have meatballs that you've prepared on a weekend and put in the freezer for later use. This is what I was using. If not you can buy them or make them from scratch, just makes it take a little longer) in spaghetti sauce.
When heated place meatballs on the toast. Sprinkle with garlic salt, mozzarella and parmesan. Serve with steamed veggies or a salad.
Just a quick idea for dinner that I found delicious tonight.
